Over 25 years ago Chris Rowland & Toby Hansen were at the epicenter of a burgeoning hardcore sound coming out of Washington, DC with their band Mad Minute. Two EPs, three LPs and four years later, the group split – Rowland to follow the more orthodox path through college and a career in film on the West Coast; Hansen to embark on a two-decade odyssey touring and recording with SKA/soul band, The Pietasters.
Fast forward to 2017 and, through a series of fortuitous events, we now find Hansen and Rowland reunited in Camarillo, CA. Connected over the years by their friendship and passion for music, they have seamlessly fused an eclectic array of genres into a sound uniquely their own.
In cahoots with engineer and bass player, Matt Tosadori, and Rock City Studios, the band has recorded a live acoustic album and on February 14, 2018, released their first full-band single, Mrs. Valentine. Professional Americans’ second single, Bad People, dropped on March 1, 2018, with their debut full-length album, Rock Big League, released on April 1st.
To round out the group, veteran Ventura County musicians Kevin Dunn (Drums) and Bret Wilcox (guitar) were brought on board. The raw talent and new versatility they bring to the band are welcome additions and uphold the highest tradition of Professional Americans - rocking your socks off.
With a complete line-up, their first album available on all platforms and a second record in production, Professional Americans are poised to ascend to the Pantheon of Rock 'n' Roll Valhalla.
